About Robin
Robin Lavallée wants to be known for their ingenuity in fabricating mechanisms for props, as well as creating armor.
Initially graduating from Visual and Creative Arts, and later from Advanced Special Effects Makeup, Props and Prosthetics, Robin has learned various techniques of fabrication, creating a multitude of projects to further their knowledge with hands-on training in sculpting, prop making and 3D modeling.
During their time at Sheridan, Robin had the opportunity to participate in a few extracurricular projects, including the creation of a photorealistic tree for Sheridan’s Virtual production studio demonstration, the scenic work for the set of Helen en Plein Air and fabricating some toppings for a taco-head costume on a Snapchat commercial.
Robin’s main area of interest lies in prop making, and has worked for LRA 3D to create large scale foam props for film productions and advertising. With a background in visual arts, Robin considers themself an artist and tends to lean into their artistic energy to create in a variety of mediums. Robin has been instilled with the notion that they can do anything with the right motivation, which is how they got into chainmail.
